Default I need help installing new C-West side skirts

I just got my C-West side skirts today and I took off my oem skirts. The oem skirts have little pop tabs but the c-west only has a few holes pre-drilled. My questions are:

1.) How would I go about making tabs similar to oem.

2.) Do I "really" need to use tabs or can I just use screws?

3.) Could I use 3M tape and screws instead?

Suggestions and advice appreciated!!

p.s. Local body shop was going to charge me for an hour of labor to take off the OEM skirts! It took me maybe 25 minutes and I've never taken side skirts off before and they supposedly have 10 years of experience!! What BS! It would probably take then half the time it took me.

If you're talking about the white tab that is afixed to the OEM skirt, you can do without it. It would be a pain to fabricate. Btw, those tabs will snap off when you remove the skirt if you're not careful.

There are so many bolts, it's not going to make much difference but perhaps you can use the tabs that came with the OEM skirt.

If you're talking about the black pop tabs, use the OEM bpts when installing the CWest. Took me 20 minutes how to stick those suckers in properly. Duh!

Yeah I broke a few of the white ones taking off the oem. On the c-west skirts it has 2 holes drilled in the top portion close to the kick plates. Did you use bolts there or the black pop tabs?

Oh and what is the price you guys have paid to have them painted; that is if you didn't get carbon fiber. I sort of wish that I did now but a little bit more than I wanted to spend. Espically now sinced I just bought a Nismo wing...

The bpts are for the front fenderwells, 2 there, and I recall one or two in the rear. When you are putting them in, press the centerpiece in otherwise, it will be a pita to place them in the hole. The kick plate area uses bolts however, I recall the white tab was similar to the bpts.

What kind and size of screws do they want you to use for the two closest to the kick plates?

BTW looks like a piece of cake.

Oh and I have to drill holes for those 2 screws correct?

unless it is evident that the side skirt will not hold on with the holes that are already drilled, then you dont really need to drill more holes..it will hold fine with that many holes and some 3m

it looks like i have to drill 2 holes to attach the top portion of the skirts. If I do that with 3m tape then it will be pretty solid. Where can I get some 3m tape, does Home Depot have it?

Man these looks sweet in black I should have gotten carbon fiber

I need to drill here. Instead of using a screw here I could probably use a bpt. What do you think?
