How to make trunk pop up open without lifting it?
I have a basic 350z with a lip spoiler that I installed. Currently, I have to pull the trunk up and press the trunk release button for the trunk to open. I know that I need new trunk struts. The question is: which trunk strut should I use? the one for cars with or without spoiler?
Another question that I have is: If I buy a strut with higher pressure will the trunk fully open without lifting it? Thanks for your help!

I had this same problem... my OEM shocks were finally done... and I have a lip spoiler as well. I upgraded to the UHP struts from Z1 Motorsports, and the problem is solved.
Here's the thread where they're selling them.

Will not fully open, but will pop enough for the latch to not catch it.

Common problem...
Replace your deck lifts/struts with some heavy duty ones.
As another post mentioned,Z1 MOTORSPORTS.COM has the best struts available at the best price &service.I have a set of heavy duty(made for wings/spolers) and my rear deck pops right up!

2 years, and no problems yet. although I only open the hatch about 5 times a year.
Get the HD struts, find someone who also needs them and buy a pair. Only install one per vehicle, with both installed you can launch small kids from the hatch. Single strut installed and t held my Nismo V1 wing no problem and still hold my APR wing no problem.
Eitherway you will have to lift it to fully open as long as you have the stock hatch. I have the Z1 heavy duty struts. You lift up to some point and then it goes up by itself.
And to close you have to pull it down harder than you would if you had stock struts
