Question Want comfortable leather seats. Suggestions?

I've never been happy with the stock leather seats in my '05ZR. The seats are hard and uncomfortable, IMO.

I've called a reputable interior shop in San Diego to explore my options but they said I'm out of luck because:

1) Aftermarket seats are not going to be comfortable.
2) Replacing the leather (even with a higher quality leather) will not help much comfort-wise.
3) The car is too small to replace with another car's leather seats (????).

This doesn't seem right. Anyone else have suggestions or gone through this process. I love my Z but I want to be comfortable. Yes, I used the search function already!!

I know G35 seats fit, but you have a ZR, and the passenger seat moves fwd when the top goes up/down...

I want black cloth zr seats....i like them IMO...

holy isht dude.. those are unreal horrible.. worst thing ive ever seen done to a Z.

OP, leatherseats.com Exctasy leather is top grain, and you can order a hihg leather content kit, and do suede inserts..

I did..

and they are unreal nice. Its the best leather going... OEM leather is terrible.. and is very low leather content, ie most of the seat is actually vinyl.

They are also the only manufacturer that will retain the black back to the seats making them still look thin.

i can assure mine are ridiculously nice and comfy.

Do you have stock heating elements underneath those new covers? Always wondered if there was a way to replace them with something a little warmer when re-doing the covers and I'd imagine with better quality thicker leather they would be even worse.

I'm partially blaming my coccyx problem on my Z lol. I have the anniversary black/orange seats, the part of the seat near the back of your *** is pretty damn solid. My Z is my DD, at least thankfully I don't often take lengthy trips and my job is 1/2 mile away.

I used to have a set of bride low max vios and they were actually very comfortable. lol

oops, just noticed "leather seats"

The seats in my 02 Acura CL Type S were AMAZINGLY comfortable and held you well too. If I could find a pair of those, I would install them into my Z but add a little more side support as the CL didn't corner quite like the Z does!

Leatherseats.com 100% leather replacements of your oem seats. Had my cloth replaced with red leather. Seats are even more soft and comfortable. If u are looking for quality and comfort at a reasonable price I suggest u use that website. U have to install yourself though.

They aren't full leather unfortunately.
I emailed them and never got a response asking about the 'extasy' upgrade bmc mentioned...
Decided to do some searching and the center part is full leather but the sides/back are vinyl.

test you can install seat warmers in there yourself. like i said they will fabricate it for you and then send it to you in the mail via ups or fedex and you will have to do the install yourself. the install is not hard at all and they have instructions specifically for the 350z. my only suggestion is to use zip ties instead of hog rings. it works just as good but save you a lot of time during the install

yes you are correct unless you ask them for complete leather like i did. i told them that i want all leather and they did so for me. 680 something shipped to my door. and after i installed them boy did my car smell like brand new leather again. even after 5 months still smells like it! factory leather seats are made the same way as you mention, the back are vinyl. either way you get your money worths with leatherseats.com

What's the quality of the leather like? Better than OEM?
