IMO, Kevlar pattern doesn't look good on most interior pieces.

I had to buy kevlar specific scissors to cut the bare material as the shears I use for carbon fiber wouldn't cut it. I used a Dremel with a cut off wheel to cut it after the epoxy cured and then a sanding drum with the Dremel pencil attachment to do a lot of the detail work.

After doing this, it is a LOT more difficult to wrap/mold to corners than just carbon fiber. Also, with this put in, you really notice the grey in the interior rather than it appearing black. That is my biggest complaint about it although I still have to go through and do all of the finish/detail work cleaning up the edges for a factory/flush fitment.

I have not done the cubby door yet because of the difficulty to cut the bare material to leave the button open without getting epoxy on it as well. I am thinking of doing the door in carbon fiber, but we shall see as I need to order a new cubby w/ door anyways.

gotta be honest, kinda disappointed. Now I know why I haven't seen more of this. And the poor alignment of the weave between the two pieces ruins it. sorry, solid effort tho, kinda like the strut

The arch is almost exact actually between the 2 pieces in the front but the sides twisted causing a mismatch There's just something that is causing a white residue look between the pieces when I use the flash, you can't see it in person. As I said, it's still not done. I more or less just wanted to post up the progress thus far to keep things up-to-date. I'm going to pull them again once I get the Double DIN in and do more finish work and will post up new pictures then, hopefully without catching that white substance between the console pieces (cocaine? )

Thanks for the input

PS - there is a gap in front of the shifter surround that needs to be worked on as well. After the 3rd layer of epoxy resin, the piece pulled up somehow. The first 2 layers cured for 24 hours each, so I'm not sure what happened.
