Default Carbon Fiber vs Kevlar interior pieces

EDIT: KEVLAR "Z" BAR AND DASH PICTURES AT BOTTOM OF PAGE 1

Do you think that 2x2 twill carbon fiber would clash with a Kevlar Hybrid on an adjoining interior panel?

Basically: Gauge surround, center console from 3 gauges to shifter, and the center section of the rear strut brace cover would all be kevlar while the rear section of the center console, speaker surround and glove box areas would all be carbon fiber.

The Kevlar I have is:

but was thinking about using:

Size: 100.1 KB

The second Kevlar I think may flow better with the 2x2 Carbon Fiber, but would like a Z forum's opinion as the Chevy hugging brother and friends all think carbon fiber/kevlar is not worth anyone's time.

I don't want too much kevlar through out as I have seen street cars with full carbon fiber interiors and it's just too much in my opinion.

I want to redo the rear speaker cover so the cover doesn't have to be removed to access the speakers. I will be adding a component system in the rear, putting the tweeters over the outside shoulders of the passenger/driver seats as well as updating the front speakers with a new component system as well.

Looks like I will have to order NEW Kevlar then... haha

Carbon Fiber twill is already on its way, but I didn't/don't have the 2x2 Kevlar/Carbon hybrid so once I get it in, I'll start on it. I just came across a nice epoxy that doesn't kill you with fumes so I can actually let it cure in my apartment (EDIT:because it's only 30-40 degrees outside). lol

Kevlar is expensive.It is STRONG.
IMO,will look like crap in your interior.
Kevlar was not developed for looks.

This major overkill and a design nightmare.

Go with all CF.If you thinks its,"too much",use other accents to give contrast.

By the way, have you worked with this material before?Or,is this your first time?

No it's not my first time. I know it doesn't drape as easy as carbon fiber. I'm going to move forward with this and I think it should turn out.

I just got the shipment of kevlar/carbon hybrid, but they shipped a dual weave instead of the single 2x2 weave... working to get the correct weave now or I may just keep it and work with what they sent...

Keep or ship back?

Problems all over... The carbon fiber was delivered today and there's holes in the weave because it's such low quality... 9oz my a$$! Plus the people FOLDED it up and shipped it in a little box.

well... Here's the update. I worked on the rear "Z" bar as a test. It is looking pretty damn good in my opinion:

Just an idea. I just quick wrapped the "Z" with 3M DiNoc to get an idea of what it would look like as carbon. I think I will do a real carbon wrap and move forward with that as well: (edit: This was before the last 2 layers of epoxy)

The "Z" isn't actually installed, it's just sitting on top of it. I have to drill the holes for the Z logo, sand the epoxy smooth and polish it back to a shine and trim off the excess material around the outside of the piece. Dash is next!

I updated my "build thread" but I figured I would give a preview over here too.

It's still not done, but this is the test fit:

I just ordered a double DIN, front lip, new tires, and rear brakes. I may pick up an HR hood from a local guy as well and get it painted.
