Question Those with this spoiler...

I just received this spoiler. But the problem is installing the spoiler. No instruction but rather a couple of half and inch of bolts.

Does this spoiler require the same equipment used to install the oem spoiler or can I use the double sided 3m tape? I have the oem spoiler on but its on double 3m sided tape, no drills.

I have mine four years now. I just double sided tape it. No issues yet. Be ready to upgrade your hatch shocks. It's heavy.

Spoiler looks heavy. I would not want it flying off a 100 MPH. Bolt it on.

Are you sure its heavy? Feels light to me or maybe its because of my workout that makes the spoiler light.

The OEM is lighter compared to that. I think that's what they're comparing it to. My Nismo V3 is pretty heavy and HD hatch shocks can't get it off the locking assembly when I unlock the hatch. I believe a true INGS has both tape and bolted mounting locations. Double sided tape works well with smaller spoilers ie Blitz, OEM(the use mounting bolts btw), and roof wings. I'd bolt it down... Double sided tape would work but I wouldn't say it's the correct why of doing it.

The spoiler does come with bolts but they look small in my opinion. Plus, since I have the oem spoiler installation equipment, came late so I install the oem with tape, can I use the oem spoiler installation equipment on to the ing spoiler or does it require a different installation equipement?

What hatch shocks do you recommend for my heavy spoiler?

How many are there? Smaller doesn't mean more dainty, sometimes it spreads pressure better thought the wing.

Is yours an authentic INGS? I'm curious because having two mounting locations using the OEM mounting points is really damned convenient. I had to drill new wholes for my V3.

I have 2 bolts and 4 nails. All are about less than an inch. I did not open the package yet, just incase I might have to return it.

Thanks! I guest I get the third one since by the look on the video can lift 20lbs of spoiler.

Huyrua, did yours have studs rather than bolting from the inside up into the spoiler? How many do you have?

OP if it has bolts there has to be stud in the wing and the screws look to be self tapping.

The two bolts do have nuts but the 4 nails dont. But how can i use the nuts when there is only one big hole right on the middle of the spoiler?

Compare to the oem spoiler, we can use the nut for the bolt like this
