Don't believe the VIN has anything to do with the key code. And why did you title this "keyless entry" anyway?

Your car came with a small metal tag which a dealer and possibly a locksmith can use to cut a key that will allow you to unlock the car. It won't start the car. The intelligent chip in the key is what allows it to start and a dealer would have to program that for you.

Like Dave said, there is a chip inside each key and I don't think locksmiths can duplicate your key as far as programming the chip inside of it.
