i need a new inside plastic for my 06+...yesterday i watched my brother run over my freshly painted (drying) plastics

 

I absolutely love them, one of the best mods/upgrade you can do to your Z. Light output is twice as much compare to the stock 03-05 projectors and they give the car a more aggressive look in my opinion. I can post some pics of them at night if you guys want.

Did you ever figure out which wire it is?

You don't have to cut any wires to make the turn signal not always stay on. The easy way is to take out the bulb, look at the contacts, use a 9 volt battery with a pigtail on it as a tester and see which contacts light up the filament in question, look at the plug and harness, and cut, isolate and seal the offending wire. Do these lights have the opening in the bottom for mounting the OEM ballast?

 

^i will let you know as im ordering a set for the internals. it says its for 06+ which are all xenon, so id imagine so. the only difference im aware of as far as bulb/ballast for pre 06 lights are the fact that 03-05 bulbs are d2r, the 06+ are d2s. i believe the same wattage.

 

Will the 06+ headlight be a direct fit and plug in for the 03-05 350z?

 

Direct swap only if you already have HIDs in your car.

 

I bought the headlight housings from xcessmotors and they are OEM. However, after going through the trouble of removing my bumper and transferring my 2004 ballast over, I find out that the large grey cover is not the same size and the new headlights didn't come with any.

The 2004 HID ballast cover (the one with the O ring and the fins for turning) is larger than the 2006 cover. So now, I don't know how or where I can get just the cover.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
