Default Smoke tail lights using tint.

HAs anyone ever thought of using tint to smoke the Tail lights??

I want to smoke my tail lights but do not want to paint them. I figure this is a good solution.

But is it durable enough? Would it look cheap?
Please post your thoughts!

regular window tint will not work.... you can try to use vinyl, but just so you know its a PITA to work the film onto the curves of the taillight. try contacting blue batmobile and he can probably hook you up with some vinyl overlays.

I doubt the tint will be durable enough. The Vinyl I use is very durable. Wait a few days for my Smoke Taillight Overlay.

I wish Bat would come out with a Z "kit".

Headlights, blinkers, taillights, rear blinks.

I'd buy it.

My taillaights are also painted and I'm loving it. It came out better than I expected. Perfect shade, I had it matched up with the JDM smoked sidemarkers.

BlueBatmobile are your overlays washable/waxable? Just wondering if it will be safe do all all that without damaging the film especially from the sun and rain. I'm just curious because I'm interesed in your headlight overlays. BTW, has anyone tried to take off the BlueBatmobile film to see if the headlights are still fine?

do you have any pictures of it, and do you paint over the outside or the inside? I didn't quite get it?

Once the taillight kit is done, I will most likely have a package price for all .

Please give more info on your painted tail lights. Who did them, how much did it cost, etc. etc.? Those look great!

Thumbs down Ridiculous!

The above photo with the extremely ugly tail lens - should be a reminder to any potential aftermarket manufacturer to think twice (or 3 times) about creating something sooooooooooooo ridiculous.

It was a custom job by my friend he works at a shop in Canoga Park, if you're in So. Cali and interested I could hook you up with the same job. I'm also getting my reverse lights done too. So it might be cheaper if we do it at the same time. This goes for everyone who wants their taillights smoked, let me know and maybe we can do a group buy.

Default diy

can anyone with the know how please post a diy for smoking the tail lights. also, if i were to get mine tail lights painted is it at all possible to get the paint off if i decide i dont like it or just dont want it in the future. also how do you think this would go over with the cops and legal trouble with not being able to see the red lights enough? any info and help is much appreciated. thanks!
oh and also how do you think this would look in a silverstone with dark tints, smoked head and tail lights, blinkers and reverse lights?
