Hey ya'll, first post here. This is probably a silly question because i feel as though i know the answer. earlier today i was taking out the driver side tail light and was unaware about the clip(only thought there were the three bolts). So the clip snapped. that wont come in to play and effect me in any way, will it?

Are you talking about the 2 clips that position the tail light onto the body so you don't have to hold it while putting the bolts on?

Then yes, you are correct. It happens to most of us the first time. You just have to remember to pull towards you, not upwards.

 

alright cool, and there was only one clip to begin with so alright then, thanks man appreciate the peace of mind.

 

I am assuming the car is used then. The previous owner probably did the same thing with the first clip, then you did the second.

Unless certain model years came with only one clip. Are we talking OEM tail lights here?
