I am about to order a 2004 Z. I'm torn between getting the Track and Touring Model. Ideally I'd like to have the Track with Leather. The Z Brochure lists leather seats as a "genuine Nissan Accessories" on the page opposing the one displaying the different colors offered.
I would like to know if anyone has purchased the above mentioned leather seats from the dealer as an accessory. If so, how much did you pay and how is the quality? If you have pics, posting them would be fantastic. Thanks very much.

I ordered an 04 Enthusiast and the dealer will be installing aftemarket leather thru Classic Soft Trim. Ask your dealer about them. Another aftermarket company is Katzkin.

I have an 03 with the Nissan "Dealer Approved" leather added at the dealership.
It looks very much like the factory leather on the touring. Most people can't tell the difference. The Nissan "Dealer Approved" leather says "Nissan" on the back. I have seen others who thought that was what they were getting, but it wasn't.
I had Classic Soft Trim on another car, and I like this better. Softer, better fit. Just my opinion.
I paid $749. Some dealers quoted me $895, $995, $1295, and $1395. I believe list on it is either $895 or $995.
I am not sure if I have any digital pics or not, but I will look.

I have a 2003 track that the dealer installed aftermarket burnt orange leather, $900. I would not do this now. The leather is fine, as good as the Nissan leather, in the touring model. Some after market leather is better than the Nissan leather and can be installed locally in many areas for $800-1100. That is the way to go.
What I would do now is get an Enthusiast and start the modification process. If you want to modify our car at all don’t spend the money on the track or touring model. You can get leather, better stereo, wheels, brakes, etc. And end up with a better car than the touring or the track model. The only thing that these models have is VDC. Many users turn this off all the time or even get it disabled so, if you don’t want VDC don’t spend the money for it.
If you don’t want to modify your car at all and you want the Brembro brakes than get the track and install leather aftermarket.

Getting Katskins installed soon. If you want 2-tone or special options like a logo they are the way to go.

ive got an 03 track with the leather seats from nissan. the car had been ordered for another person who couldn't pay for it once it got to the lot so i was able to buy it straight off the lot (back in february) the seats had already been installed in place of the stock track seats because that's how the original guy ordered the car. i think the dealer quoted around 1200 bucks for the seats but ended up getting the seats at no extra cost after asking the dealer to just put the stock seats back in the car. they decided it wasn't worth the hassle of taking out the leather seats so they came for free
. they look like the touring seats as far as design goes. they are black around the sides with gray seude in the middle sections. they are not electric seats. they are really comfortable and supportive!

From my research it appears that most dealers today are quoting $900 on the leather seats. I've been telling all of them that I want the factory leather installed by the dealer and no one has said anything to me like "we can't get the actually factory leather" so I'm assuming they can.
