Default Mounting Splash Guards

I bought splash guards a while back and mounted them up with double sided tape. The way i taped it up didnt last very long the tape kept coming off on the inner side of the splash guard. I think im just not placing the tape correctly. I remember seeing a thread on the forum asking for a template for where to place the tape? And a picture was posted showing where to place the tape.

I was hoping someone may have some idea of what im talking about because i searched for it and couldn't come up with anything remotely close.

Id prefer to tape it instead of screwing it on.

Thanks.

??The splash guards need one screw into the wheel well rim.One under the car.
Whats the big deal?Use metal or self-tapping screws if you don't to mount in OEM
locations.I guess you can use 3-M.Surfaces have to be very clean. Also,I'd use
adhesion promoter wipes.

I found a set of mounting instructions. It says to use a #8 spring clip and a #8 tapping screw. I understand that I can use any size screw. But is the clip important? I decided to screw it on instead of tape.

Tape is ghetto. The spring clip holds the screw in place. Look at the screw. Its a sheet metal screw.

I got the guards used a while ago. There's no screw or spring clip. So I asked my local dealer wheter they had it. And they don't sell it seperate from the guards, nor do they know what I could use to replace it.

So I was wondering how I could go about mounting without the oem hardware. Unless there's a place that sells just the screw and clip I'm gonna have to do a custom job myself.

Thanks.

This link shows the correct sizes for clips & screws for rear guards. Then go to your local hardware store or Home Depot or Lowe's for the screws & clips.
