Bump for a nice easy way to fill that hole... I was thinking of fiberglass on the back side and bondo the hole... If their is a nice easy fix that would be great.
I have a nice piece of painters tape covering the hole atm . I am just getting a 'plug' made, just as you would use for the wiper removal. May not be the cleanest option but its simple.

Thats probably the smart way to do it... Ill probably make it difficult like I did for my wiper and washer holes.
