Default BAUSauto Hood Lock Issue

Not sure where to put this thread.move if needed..

Do Not buy hood locks from BAUSauto (carbodykits.com)

I got a set of these from BAUSauto and once i got a shop to install them, they began to rust. I contacted AeroCatch directly and this was their reply:

Thank you for your email, unfortunately the catches in your pictures are counterfeit!! All our screws and pivot pins are made from stainless steel and the pivot pins are sonically welded in position whereas it is clear to see -in your pictures - that the handle pivot pin is coming out!! This needs to be addressed or the catches - you have- will lock up very soon!!

Please see our website page on counterfeit AeroCatch
; http//www.aerocatch.com/counterfeit-warning

They sell the hood locks/latches as D1 Generation, Aero Catch, universal hood lock latches. These are all counterfeit as BAUSauto (carbodykits.com) is not a licensed AeroCatch dealer! I contacted BAUSauto and they said they would look into it and that was weeks ago. Please beware

Pretty sure all this company does is put out subpar products and change its name every few months.

I personally dealt with them a couple of times and had good experience with them. I'm sure they will solve your problem.

BausAuto has been nothing but top notch every time I have dealt with them. Did you even attempt to contact Ben or just come here and whine?

Edit: Saw you attempted contact possibly once but c'mon.

How is he at fault if he bought something that was not as described and the seller blew him off?

How is he insulting you?

He is not insulting me. Half the time these posts are BS. Just letting people know this is the first time anyone has had anything bad to say that I have seen on this forum about BausAuto and they are a good vendor here.

Ben provides great customer service and I am willing to bet something has been left out. But we will leave that to BausAuto. Point being, telling people not to buy from them is a little harsh at this point.

If you asked a company weeks ago to look into something, would you never check again? I would check weekly.

How many phone calls? How many PM's attempted? Were there 82 calls in one day with no response like we normally see here, then a post about lack of communication. Just saying

I just went to their site and they don't even have these listed anywhere under D1 Generation or Aerocatch.

We don't know. It is possible either way. My point is you just jumped down his throat like he did something to you.

Not intended that way but if you took it that way I can't change the way you feel. I was trying to get him to provide more info because this post is BS without more info.

This is pretty surprising to see a post like this about Baus... I have dealt with them before, and they have TOP NOTCH customer service!

I'm pretty sure they will get this fixed!

Im not surprised. I ordered two nismo v2 front bumpers and he told me they shipped the next day and that he would send me a txt with tracking. Never got it. A week later I called and he said "sorry, I just shipped them today. Tracking tonight". Never got it. A week later I called and he said "they were damaged and shipping company brought them back to us. I will ship out another set. Tracking tonight." Never got it. A week goes by and I call again, he said "I ran out of stock on the fiberglass ones but with the money you gave me for both of them I can give you ONE polyurethane." I said I needed two. He said he couldnt. So I finally grew a pair and cancelled. He said sorry and that ALL future orders for me would be %25 off. The only thing that was quick was the refund.

Called Ben a few weeks ago and texted him about a chargespeed rear replica and he has yet to get back to me.

How is saying he was whining not attacking?

It is obviously between them and they appear to be communicating now.

I'd have liked to see a response to the complaint from BAUS to clear up their side of the transaction but that didn't happen.

I hope all is resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.

Since this is all out in the open....I'd like to see a response from BAUS too!
