Default post your shift **** pics here!!!

I'm trying to decide on a new **** to go with my new shift boot (Thanks Dave!). If anyone has an aftermarket shift ****, please post here, as I'm sure many people are interested. Things to consider.

1. Brand of shift ****
2. Grip of ****
3. Does it get very cold/hot easy
4. Weight compared to stock
5. Any shortening of throw
6. How well it matches interior
7. Price, and where bought from

I know there is a lot there, but it sure would help me and other members if you could answer whichever ones you can. Thanks, and pictures would be a major bonus.

Its a Nismo GT Titanium shift ****. It feels nice, solid. It came with a 5-speed shift pattern to stick on the top though. I'll leave that off.
My wife bought it for me from Performance Nissan (you can see them all over this site).
I'll post more after I get it installed.

Yea. I'm having a hard time deciding too. I don't care for the Nismo though. It's just a little to bland looking. I will say that someone on this forum has one of those sparco x-speed, or r-speed shifters installed & it looks pretty darn good.

i just installed the black x-speed shifter. feels and looks much better than stock. it's a high quality piece. i'll post pics when my new shift boot comes in (orange stitched black leather ichiban).

I chose to stay stock..the metal ones are way to cold in the winter, way to hot in the summer....even the Ti ones.

I think stock is juuuuussssttttt riiiiigggggghhhhhtttt

Here is my Nismo Titanium shifter. I wear gloves when I drive so not worried about hot or cold.

A quick question (or two) for those who have installed the nismo titanium shifters. Sorry if these have been covered before...

How do you remove the stock shifter?

And do you need to replace the shifter boot when you replace the ****, or can you re-use the stock one?

Thanks,

Steve in AZ

its somthing about metal shiftknobs that just make me "feel" the shifts better. its like i can tell if the tranny is in gear or not. yea they can become hot or cold during extreme weather...but after a few mins of warm up or the a/c running...its gone. but i definately think metal ***** give a better feel for the driver.
