Default CF hood wont latch

I have an 06 Z and I got a Seibon CF hood. The fitment looks great but the hood wont latch in the front. I called the guy I bought it from and he suggested adjusting the front latch. I tried to do that but it doesn't move like he said it should. Can anybody please help with this? here is a list of things on the car under the hood: 5/16' plenum spacer, strut bar, AEM CAI. Im located in Southern California in Anaheim.

Don't force it, or it will crack the hood. I had to put 3 spacers on each side to raise the rear end of the hood before it would latch easily. Unfortunately.. I had already cracked mine.

I just used what was handy that I could find in my garage. I'm sorry... I'm calling it a spacer... because that was it's purpose, but they're actually stainless steel flat washers that I had lying around. You can get them at any hardware store.... cheap

I would recommend getting hood latches and ditching the idea of you using the oem latch for your hood. Your seibon hood is 1 layer of carbon and 10 layers of fiberglass, I would not rely on it holding up at high speeds.

im kind of a noob to the Z world. I had an S2000 before. I like the look of the hood latches that lay flush with the hood, but i dont have the first clue how to install them.

^^ This video helped me out.
Aerocatch hood latches are awesome! If you go this route I recommend the passwordJDM mounting plate too.

This video helped me with the install.

are you sure you loosen the latch properly? think it was two nuts that need loosening to be able to adjust it, would have to look at mine as I dont remember exactly.

loosen the bolts on the hinge then pull the hood towards you and loosen the bolts on the latch then lift it upward. you may need to grab the latch with some pliers and push it forward or backward as well so it shuts firmly. these methods always worked when i used to have two different seibon hoods.
