Default Ashtrays and coin boxes.....

Greetings all. I'm trying to properly identify which ashtray or coin box I need.....and I'm hoping I don't need the $120 coin box.

I've got a 2005 350z with a build date of 10/04. The PO sent the ashtray to a place far away. I've searched here and on the web and have gotten some info, but I'm hoping someone can guide me based on their own experience or knowledge with this year of the car.

When I look at "Year Range" on the Nissan parts site, are they referring to the date of "10/04" that I see on the VIN sticker on my door sill, or are they referring to the fact that this is a "2005" with more specific information about the date hidden in the VIN coding?

Here's the link: http://anobparts.com/nissanparts/ind...=BASE&TRANS=MT

Do I need the Pocket-Coin for $32 or do I need the Box-Assy Coin for $120?

Over on the Courtesy site, scrolling down to the 2004-2005 diagram indicates that I need this, at $103:

So, before I drop $100 on this ashtray/coinbox/whichever it is....I was wondering if anyone could offer any additional insight.

Thanks.

I saw that one on eBay, and it looks like the one I need....but I need a gray one. Thanks, tho.....I'm gonna send them a message and ask if they have any in gray. It appears that they have quite a few in black and charcoal.

I'd look at ebay all those little interior parts. $120 vs $50 is a big difference, especially if its just going to break again
