Default Front Bumper & Splitter Combos

What are the most functional front bumpers in conjunction with front splitters? Don't think the nismo v3 bumper has any aftermarket front splitters that can be added. Correct me if I'm wrong. Any better than v3? Looking for the most aerodynamic, light, and most downforce front bumper + splitter for track use.

Probably something long nose with a custom splitter. I would look into the Nismo V2 or V3 . My car will soon have a V2 on it again, this time with a splitter 3 inches fwd and back to the crossmember. Work on the next setup starts this weekend

I've got the chargespeed long nose type 1 bumper with the carbon canards. It provides a bit of downforce at the front and looks great, IMO. I'm toying with the idea of changing to something else though. Let me know if you'd be interested.

The v3 has that little curve near the middle though. Would you even be able to make a splitter for that? Or would the v2 with a custom splitter be more functional than the v3?

Just use aluminum , plastic or sheet metal to bridge the gap. I was going to do it but the V2 front ends are cheaper and will be easier to fab with. Also the V2 front already has canards , just need to change the angle on them slightly.

^ yep, +1 on auth longnose kits.
streem Z nose or any other true long nose will actually create quite a bit of downforce at high speed, documented by alot of Japanese tuner shops.

That's a V1 or Aerosync... I'd recommend you NOT do the Chargespeed Type 1. It's heavy as hell.

Better is relative... One may meet your needs more than the other.

What's the difference in performance? What does the V3 do better than the V2 and vice versa?

Its great to see a discussion about the aerodynamics of a bumper or lip rather than the
looks. It seems that everytime this topic is discussed,FUNCTION is overlooked.
I've got a OEM bumper with a Mines lip,Strosek style skirts,Nismo add-ons,Shine Spec-R
diffuser.I recently replaced my OEM spoiler for a Blitz.Having owned my Z since new,I can attest to the increase in stability at highway speeds from my body aero parts.
Mines foe example tests their parts in a wind tunnel so that they give full aerodynamic
benifits.

more info on that blue Z...

V1-V2-V3

It just gets more aerodynamic....the V3 would be harder to mount a splitter on it's fascia than the other two.

And without a full real splitter and a real GT wing, it's just child's play in the world of aero.

Thats Sasha Anis' 350z. He just painted it blue, you guys should be familiar with his car lol owning Ferrari's and GT-R's on the track. 372 RWHP naturally aspirated with ITBs. So bossss. So would V2 with a splitter be better than just a V3?
