Default Option Racing Headlights - HID Conversion

I just recently purchased a set of Option Racing headlights from carid.com and I am having trouble on how I should go about getting a HID conversion kit for these specific set of headlights. I spoke with a customer support specialist from Option Racing and they explained that the low beam housing holds H3 bulbs while the high beam housing holds 9007 bulbs. Now I have never done an HID conversion kit before but I have been told that I do not have factory HID headlights but I do have aftermarket HID's that were installed by the previous owner. If someone could please explain to me exactly how I should go about achieving the endstate of having my new headlights installed with 10000k low and high beam HID's. I can do the work myself its just a matter of obtaining the correct information needed to acheive my goal. I will supply the link to the headlights I bought and I gave all the information I have currently on them. It would be greatly appreciated for any amount of information that can be given. Thank you.

Then why did you buy them if you thought they were ugly?

You want a mature post? Ok, here's your mature post....

10,000K hids are terrible. You will not be able to see anything at night except a dull purple glow on the road along with blinding every oncoming car not to mention when it rains you wont be able to see anything at all. You need to look into 4300K-6000K for your hid kit but the mature thing to do here is get rid of those rubbish headlights. They are cheaply made and I am willing to bet cash money the light output will be horrendous.

Sell them and buy 06+ headlights (even 03-05 oem headlights are better than the one's you bought). Anyone here on this site will back me up and if you don't like our replies find another forum.

Ok roger that much appreciated. So if you had to suggest another aftermarket headlight that isnt OEM then what would it be? And for the record my comment was directed towards BMurray's "constructive critism".

Here's a mature post. Don't do it! Return them and get your money back. If you want to upgrade your lights, buy a set from a 06+! Please don't turn your Z into a getto machine!

Ok sweet well I honestly want something alil different than what you suggested. The OEM headlights are great and all its just I want something to set my Z aside from the rest. Ive seen people mod the OEM headlights and some of them look amazing the only issue is I havent a clue how to do the electrical work required to customize them. I really like the angel eyes on the set I bought so if you have another suggestion I would apprecaite your input.

why ppl with post counts next to nothing talk back to those w post counts over 1000 are offering input still boggles my mind.

btw Bmurray came in a newb, and bought a ton of stuff and built a legit little car and he did so fast.. very little lurking, lots of buying and building and he listened to advice and learned fast and had a nice car. Thats the real deal.

the lights you bought are a matter of taste, meh, perhaps.. and most agree they are horendous, but aside from this opinion, the quality is not high either, so factually based, they are a downgrade.

Aside from that, there are multiple ppl selling 06 lights in the marketplace right now.. which are built using a Philips bi xenon, the same as on many extremely high end cars. they are a dramatic UPGRADE.

the wiring is simple as ther are may threads on such.. including the one i created showing pictures and tips for each and every single part of the process and each type of mod you could think of.. halos, demon eyes, sti lenses, opening and sealing lights,. again, could be found by using the search function..

if youre ok w compromise, then simply state this. But youre defending it.. its weird.
its funny as you got angry quick, but honestly you were the one being the d#ck. Kind of begs the questions.. whos post was really the troll? lol.

We wish you luck on posts 12- infiniti. Dont get mad, just grow a set and use search and relax man. jeez. Youre new,, please understand and imagine that we get this same damn post ( lol) at LEAST twice a month from someone new.. imagine how old that gets for some after TEN YEARS of the site running lol.

Don't ask us if you want something different, just do it then ask how it looks!

Thank you very much I appreciate it and at this time now I am cancelling my order. I do agree that the headlights I ordered were kinda shady I was just hoping for the best I guess. Ive seen a few posts with people modding the OEM 06+ and am extremely interested in making my own set. Like I said the only issue is that im most certainly not mechanically inclined minus putting on a few bolt-ons in my Z. And thanks again for the input. I will do my research and hopefully I can mod my own set, now I just need to find a new pair of those OEM 06+ headlights.

See those look amazing I would love to make my own pair but I figured it was way over my head. Im sure its time consuming as well, hopefully I can find time between the military and my wife to make a set.
