No metal brackets on the DD bulbs, although the metal parts on the bulbs you linked to are different than the ones on my OEM bulbs.

 

I'd stick to either Philips or Osram bulbs if you're changing them out. Even though HID bulbs last forever..they do lose output over time.

If you are to replace bulbs, I'd recommend Garax, which are true Japanese bulbs. I run 8000k in my Z, and it's very clean white/skyblue. Not sure if they have 6000k, but don't let that 8000k fool you. If you get cheap china HID bulbs, their 8000k looks much bluer with crap light output. Garax are a bit more $$ but light output is still pretty good.

 

Any news regarding the return of the bulbs?

 

RMA was approved Friday - mailing them back tomorrow. I'l get hit with shipping cost and something like a 5% return fee.
