Default Cost of Painting Door Handles Black?

Ok I know I've seen this on here before. But I'm was wondering what kind of price range I'm looking at for getting my handles done. Also I'm new to this. I've looked at a few threads before for help but just recently made an account. I was also wondering is anyone around O'Fallon MO has gotten them done where they got them done at.
Thanks
Justin

Ok thanks. I have talked to a few places and most of them are telling me around $300. They say that the Z door handles are a pain to get off. I wonder if I take them off my self if it will be cheaper.

Two bolts difficult to take off? Open your door, unplug the two grommets behind the door handle and you will see two 10mm bolts. Take those off, gently pull the door handles up about 1cm from the outside, then out, done.

Like he said^^ they are super easy to get to... as for painting them... do that **** yourself its not that difficult to paint... even easier to paint small trim pieces like that. is it going to be matt? or Gloss? Just seems like a huge waste of 200 bucks to pay someone else to do it when you could do it for less than 50.

Default handles

those are crazy prices. not worth more than 120$. pull them out , lightly sand them, use a adhesion promotor, and you can match the paint easy at any finishmasters store. dupont chroma is best to match colors.

Wow it sounds like some shops are trying to make a killing off of an easy job.

I am sure the price quotes are high because of the cost of single stage or two stage paint. Labor cost is also high but go to your local autobody supply and inquire what a pint of paint with reducer and catalyst cost.

Paint material is cheap as fawk. 1/2 pint of black paint even 4oz will do. No more then 20 bucks. Clear coat same thing.

Why I hate shops. Trying to make a killing of something so simple. Why won't they just be efficient about it and get it done. 5 mins to take handles off. 5 mins to prep. 30 secs to spray. It's not like they have to sit there and watch it dry.

No it's gunmetal grey. I powder coated the stock rims flat black and I've pretty much black everything else out.

Good paint, is not cheap. I would use Concept 2000. It would take a fingernail and you can rub it.

You can definetely go cheaper. I would not on my car.

This is a cheap option and it might even be durable. At this price you could test it on an object before you used it on your car.

And I agree that the shop quotes are too high but PPG, Glazurite, House of Kolor and all the other top brands are going to be well over $100 for one pint of paint material.

On a Black Z = one of the best mods done. If you can do without the Z. Take them out and have the shop paint them then re-install them.
