they might be pusposely running them at 27w to overcome loss from the coating. and keep the total output the same. not familair with them at all, so thats just a wild guess. but might find it hard to find them in 21 watt; just like 21w normal=27w silver.

Could 6w make that much of a difference?

Mgl: do you happen to have the bulbs that caused the problem? where those 27w or more?

Intrested in this too. But I refuse to even look at the APC ones: bought 194 blue parking lamps and the paint melted off turning them green.

Well one thing is for sure........ I want them to be Clear, Silver, etc. but they MUST blink AMBER! I don't want to draw unneccesary attention from cops, and I don't want to be riced-out either. Apparently both Sylvania and Philips makes the type of bulb I/We want, just not for 350Z application...
I will continue the search and keep you all updated....

I think I've seen a M45 with those bulbs. I believe the M45 uses the silver bulbs stock. Shouldn't we be able to find this part from Nissan parts? Any thoughts?

I tried those LED bulbs, and the light blinked really fast. It was kind of annoying.

Just a guess, but: I think the car might think the bulb is going out, so it blinks fast to tell you ( a system used in many vehicles) about the situation. You might need to install either a different size bulb or get a resistor-I think thats what they're called. Send an email to superlumination describing the problem and they will give you a link to a lot of useful information that will probably solve the problem your describing.

yes they have resistor jobs that simulate the load of the proper bulb. it does cancel the use of the low voltage LEDs. but I think these guys are reffering to the silverplated filiment bulb at the bottom of the page.

sorry.. i don't remember the wattage, i think the seller told me that it was the same as the stock bulb. (i know now that he was lying, or had no idea)

and those led bulbs that you might get.... i got those too. i actually got those before i got the silver ones. they are nice, but not bright at all. i think its because the light emitted from the led is not projected onto the reflector-y part of the lenses.

Apparently the M45 does NOT use silver bulbs, but "silver housings" where the bulbs fit behind/inside them:

The search continues........

Something like these:

I located some bulbs that appear might fit the bill for quality & appearance!
But................They only have these reference #'s: 3157, 3357,3457. And the Nissan part # doesn't help them.
Now I can tell you that the 'connectors' look like our connections!

Ares or anyone have a cross-reference?

Philips just launced silvervision WY21W/T20/7440 (our blinkers) bulbs in Japan.

http://www.lighting.philips.co.jp/pr...ion_wy21w.html

Those are probably what you want to get...

BTW, I have the Cycolite silver blinkers off ebay, what kind of dulling problem are you having? I surely hope I dont have the same problem.

edit: My cycolite bulbs are 12V25W (4 watts up from stock)
