Or do they only come on with the blinker signal?<-means they are single filament=7440
BTW, how long have you had those APC ones in?

Weird, well keep us posted on how those APC's work out. When I was looking for chrome turn signal bulbs I almost bought those but a fellow 350Zer near me said his started turning yellowish after about 2 months but hopefully they fixed that.

Daytona350zr, those APC bulbs are the same ones that I have in my Z. They run at 27w as compared to our stock at 21w. This probably means that they run hotter and therefore have a great possiblity of damaging our housings like someone else mentioned in the beginning of this thread.
I'm currently looking for some that light up at 21w and I will let you guys know. I am also trying to find some silver colored backup bulbs that emit a bright white light to match silver rear turn signals in rear. Let you guys know if I find something.

the dual filiments, the stock lighting setup would illuminate both at the same time. bad. they are sposed to be 1on at a time.
be sure not to get a 7443 filiment bulb. 7443 LED bulb is fine.
also for those saying a certain bulb wouldnt fit, youll see wedges on the base, go at em with a dremel till its flat. theyll fit then. brake lights(7443) have these wedges. 7440 does not. if its a glas bulb with them, then its dual filiments, and dont use it.

The evostyle are expensive @ $22 a pair + shipping... but their cleancut website influences me into thinking they're of good quality. Anyone know if they're 21 or 27W?

Here is the response I got so far from Stealth Bulbs:
Thank you very much for you interest in Stealth Bulbs. At the moment, we do not have the 7440 bulbs in stock but are most likely going to do a small production run of them in the near future. We were not initially planning on making these bulbs until the end of the year but due to a large surge in demand from both the 350Z and the RX-8 crowd, we are probably going to offer the ability to pre-order these bulbs very soon. If we get enough pre-orders, we should have these bulbs in about a month. Do you have any idea how many people you know would be interested in pre-ordering these bulbs? The information I can get, the sooner we will have them in stock!
Thanks so much.
Todd
PS: We are going to be offering xenon white bulbs coated in our silver Stealth coating in the near future as well.
I emailed him again asking for the wattage of these bulbs as he does not mention this in his email. Will let you guys know when I find out.

What's the point getting a chromed turn signal that shines white?
Why not just put a white bulb in there? After all, the idea is to
remove the orange reflection which will be non-existent with a white bulb, anyway.
I actually almost did that, but I saw someone else with white bulbs and it looked way too cheapy and ricey. This is a 350Z, not a civic.

Well guys I think we might have found our source
Evovision sent me back the following reply:
Hi,
EVOvision bulbs run at the standard 21W. This is comparison to some of our
competitors who increase their wattage up to 25W or 27W. Pushing the bulb
power over the standard 21W can be damaging to the light housing. Some
manufacturers seem to overlook the fact that the bulbs warm a bit more quickly
than a standard bulb due to an increased heat containment by the coating. We
identified this possible problem early and polarized the deposition process
(for the coating) so an increased percentage of the coating transmits more
light without having to increase the power output. EVOvision bulbs therefore
run much cooler than our competitors bulbs. As far as a chrome bulb emitting
white light, that we cannot help you with. Please feel free to e-mail us
anytime you have questions!
Thanks for your interest,
Mark

P.S. If anybody would be interested they can either post here or PM me for a review in about one week, as I'll be ordering my sets (front and rear) today. But I'm quite sure that these bulbs are top-notch qualityand will work optimally with our Zs.
If you scroll down their store front page they even have a set for the 350Z which contains (2) bulbs for the front and (2) bulbs for the rear. - Perfect!!!
