Came across these on a car feature on Southern Fresh,

curious if anyone made a set of fenders like these, for the 350Z.

I hope not. That will beat your paint to death w rocks and dirt. Plus it doesn't look that good IMHO.

Yeah I thought about that and figured you could add clear bra to those areas.

It looks like someone is trying to replicate the front fender styling of a 1957 Ferrari Testa Rosa. I think it looks better on the Testa Rosa.

some of the most recent top skyline builds have this with the entire front end tilt. seeing a few other retro rides in japan doing it as well. a little odd looking at first but dont mind the look. has grown on me like the nismo v3 kit.

one of the leading creator of drag on a vehicle is the wheels and the air turbulence it causes.

as the wheel rotates forward, it brings the air with it, rotating it up and forward, disrupting the natural airflow underneath the car and on the sides of the car.

you have the large sweeping cut aways directly behind the wheel such that the air can escape to the sides before it can interrupt flow.

sorta like why i designed my fenders vents that way i did, just not that extreme.

yes you get rock chips, at the expense of smoother airflow underneath the car, and at times, that is where it counts if downstream, like say your rear diffuser is integrated... you want as smooth and fast air underneath the car to create your venturi effect of sucking the car down to the road surface.

other notable examples:
Evasive FRS

JGTC Z33

TRD Supra

Thanks for the explanation.

I don't think it would look good on a DD, but a road course race car - YES.

Bmccann101 bought some fenders like that for the Z awhile back. I'm pretty sure he purchased them off ebay. Here's a link to a post he made about them.https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...p-guys-33.html
