Question Make Her Smile...

First Post!

Hey guys, I just got a 2004 "Enthusiast" 350Z and the front bumper is a little beat up. I'm not looking to put a bunch of money into the body (I'd rather do some power upgrades, wheels, and tires) but she's not lookin' as pretty as she should be...

I first thought I'd just throw a lip on there and call it good, but I'm not really a huge fan of the '04 front bumper anyway. Anyone on here running a prettier front end that flows well with the stock skirts? I don't want anything crazy aggressive looking and it would look weird if it hung way lower than the skirts...

Any suggestions?

Post pix of the "damage"

Almost any bumper looks good if you have the front mudguards to ease the lowness of the front into the sides... I had an amuse rep with stock sides and the mudguards matched up well with it imo.

It's not to where I'd call it bad "damage", its just a little beat up and not pretty. There are a couple small dents and the left bottom corner is a tiny bit pulled out because it hit a parking block. I think a lip would totally cover that up and you'd never be able to tell though.

My favorite front end is the V3, but spending well over a grand to convert everything correctly is way out of my budget. Will the Amuse or the Aerosync bumpers swap righty over without converting a bunch of stuff behind it? Or is it the same story as the V3?

BTW, I'll post pics of the problem area as soon as I get off of work.

The 06+ is quite an improvement from the pre facelift ones

Ah crap! I totally forgot to mention that I'm moving to LA in a few months and will have to have a stupid front license plate on my car

I REALLY like the Aerosync, but I have no clue where I'd mount the freakin plate

Any suggestions?

Don't know if it'll work for the aerosync but you can buy a license plate mounting kit so you dont have to drill. Just mount it on the grill. Easily removable and no holes on your bumper.

That's a hell of a cover up if you mount it on the grill, isn't it? Seems like it would stop a lot of air from flowing through there... It's such a clean front, I don't know where it would go.

Rock chipped like a muh.. and looks like there was no clear to even protect the paint

You can repair it. Looking at about 200$ to fix it? more or less?

I'm still thinking you should go 06+ bumper. Clean, more modern, and of course flows perfectly with the stock skirts. All imo..

Is there one that swaps straight on without having to buy all the extra crap like the V3 requires?

Bumper itself is a direct swap. It'll fit right on. Only things you need to buy are new/used 06+ reflectors and 06+ grill mouldings. I swapped mine out and no problems whatsoever.

You should also look into fixing those headlights. They look cloudy as hell.

It's definitely an improvement, I like it a lot. In my case though, if I'm gonna swap the bumper and go through all that, I'd definitely get something a little more aggressive.
