Default 06+ headlight connector question

so I got some 08 headlights for my 03 track edition. the headlights are used and came with the guts, bulbs, ballast and everything. from reading online, the 08 connector should be an 8 pin. the one on mine has 8 slots but 7 prongs sticking out. is it suppose to be like that?

after more research, someone said it's a 7 pin connector because one pin doesn't do anything. can anyone confirm?

yes I believe it's the one with the blue cable. blue and green are the same. cut the connector from your 03 leave enought wire space, then cut the connector from your 06-08 leave the same space. them your going to add all the cables se color. just the blue one add to the green. At the end your gonna have blue and green wire going in to your 03 plug. hope I was clear enough. good luck

I thought it's plug and play, no wire cutting since I have stock hids in my 03. the 08 headlights came with everything too.

yeah sure that's why my 07+ headlights are working perfectly on my 04. haha

Touge Z, my bad just double checked your post. mine was a base model so that explains the cutting but if you have oem HID it should just be plug and play since you say the 08 come with bulbs and everything.

I would install it already but I'm just waiting on my clear reflectors to get here so I can install them while the bumper is off.

Apparently depo just started selling these 06-08 oem style for pretty cheap. There's a couple people ordering some in that thread. Waiting to hear back once they get them. It's sold as just the housing (no bulbs/ballasts).
