Default Nismo Shift ****

When my car gets here on Feb. 6th the dealer is throwing in a nismo shift **** of my choosing. I visited www.performancenissanparts.com to look at the various *****. Is the GT Titanium the best? Does anybody have good pictures of it (the ones on the website aren't the greatest)?

I have the regular Titanium, and i love it. The chrome will always have finger prints, and the gt was just to short for my big paws, and i have never been happier.

I have both GT titanium and urethane one... the sizes are quite the same, but the titanium one is slightly heavier! THey make the shifting much easier than the standard ****! You will not regret getting either of them!

I got both is because I don't want any scratches on the titanium **** when the car is in for services, so I can just simply put the urethan/rubber one on...

cheers,

richie

I actually got both and I went with the GT because it felt better with my shifting from 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th. It also looks great. Sorry but I don't have pics.

If you do get the GT titanium version...

I found that **** kept coming loose no matter how hard I tightened the allen head screw. I solved the problem by placing a rubber washer under the **** (sandwiched in between the **** and the threaded sleeve). Works great.

how do you make the shift boot inside the leather sit right with the GT ****? Am I missing a rubber piece to sit between the **** and leather like those other nismo non GT *****? Seems like all the other GT **** owners also share my problem....

there is no rubber piece.. but you can make the shift boot to stay up easily by using a cable tie to twist a few arounds on the shift stick under the shift boot (right under the plastic ring), this will hold the plastic ring that holds the shift boot to stay up close to the shift ****. The reason what the shift boot will not hold up is due to the diameter of the inner plastic ring size is actually larger than the shift stick, so just use the cable tie to prevent it fulling off will do the trick! It works perfectly fine with mine and it is very easy to do!

give it a try!

cheers,

richie

I actually did an install of the GT **** 3 days ago. Keeping the shift boot up is not hard, just takes time to get the right placement of the thing you intend on holding it up with. I used a few thick rubberbands to hold it up. Looks alot better than having the boot sit low.
