Default Need help Installing rear spoiler.

Hey guys well I'm getting the spoiler installed at a good reputable shop in town, this spoiler came with a small bag (install kit my guess) it came with a roll of double sided tape which I expected but it also came with two small nuts and washers. There is no place on the spoiler where the nuts and washers the spoiler is a Trail rear spoiler if anyone knows or has one please chime in.

What exactly are you asking? Is your issue that there are no places for the nuts/washers to bolt to the spoiler?

The spoiler came with double sided tape and 2 nuts and 2 washers but there is no place on the spoiler where the nuts or washer go. It's just a plain spoiler, I can see how to I stall the double sided tape but not bolts on it. The body shop says that if they install it with only the double sided tape, eventually the spoiler will fall/fly off my car.

Well I really want it with the double sided tape but the body man was already thinking of cutting the wing open and drilling 2 hole through the spoiler and my trunk (which I don't want). Man I really hope double sided tape will be enough, my guess is this spoiler weighs around the same as a nismo V3 spoiler. Do those require bolts.

My Blitzz has been fine for about 4-5 months now with double sided tape. Been tested at plenty speed as well..

You'll be fine.

The double sided tape will do just fine.
Strongly suggest using 3-M adhesion promoter before installing the spoiler.
Most auto paint shops handle the promoter. Its part # is 06396.
Make sure all surfaces including the spoiler mounting surface are cleaned with rubbing alcohol. All polish must be removed. In addition, heat the mounting tape with a hair dryer
before installing.Apply rven pressure on the spoiler for at leat one minute.

That 3M double sided tape is strong. You just wipe the surface down with some isopropyl alchohol or adhesion promoter, apply the spoiler with the tape and hold it down for a good 5 min. It will not come off that stuff is grippy. If you do you install after you left you car in the sun for a little it will stick a lot better.

I'm thinking the tape is not the best idea. I would let the body man install the spoiler with the nuts and bolts as well as the tape. I just don't trust the tape to hold the spoiler in place. Even the OEM spoiler is held in place with nuts and bolts.

Wow OP, I really like what you have done with your car please post more pics when you can

Regarding your spoiler, given how large it is and how much it extends over your trunk I would get it bolted to the hatch (if you plan on keeping it for awhile)

I just believe anything other than the Blitz or any smaller OEM type spoiler doesn't need to be bolted but anything heavy like my NISMO V1 definitely needs to be bolted so that it is as secure as possible and also prevents it from being stolen
