Default Swapping RECAROS possible?

So just got my 2004 VQ35DE enthusiast and love the car but I also have a 2004 Saturn ion redline with stock RECARO seats. I was wondering if anybody knows if they can be swapped or not my buddy thinks the Z seats are wider and wont fit in my Ion but the Recaros can fit in the Z...

Love to have some input cuz those recaros are amazing and they are a medium blue color perfect for the interior on the Z.

LMAO

Hi lazy.

Take a tape measure and measure the frame on the z33 seat, and then measure the frame on the sky seat. If they are the same width you can probably just re drill the sky seat to match the z33 mounting points.

You have everything there to figure this out yourself.

Im lazy lol its not even a SKY they dont even have recaros man. if u READ it, says ION REDLINE. I did measure today and seems they are both same width and height but the only thing is the Z seats have 4 bolt downs to the floor my recaros have 2 in the back and the fronts just hook and latch in so id have to change the whole underneath bracket.. might be to much work!!

This shows how bad our interior is. I actually considered getting a pair of seats from my old car (05 Civic SI EP3) and figure out how to install them.

Even if this works, which now it seems like it will be a pretty damn large project, you will keep the Red Line stitching on the seats?

If you got Cobalt SS headrests they don't have that redline logo either. I miss my Recaro's from my Cobalt, awesome factory seats.

Look into swapping the rails from the seats, if you can put the Z rails on the Ion seat, it will bolt right in. Usually there is room to modify the attachment points from the seat to the sliders. The hook/bolt setup on the Ion seats will be difficult to modify to get the other sliders to work so that's the route I would go.

Joe my homie! Its lilhomieb07 from RLF. You got a Z now too? And yah the worst part is gonna be swapping rails looks like I can possibly swap the underside and rails. Idk for sure IF im gonna do it yet itll take away a lot from the redline without recaros in them cuz im still gonna drive it.

Damn see how much im on the forums over there lol. I think it was my time to park my redline and get another low mile car couldnt pass up the deal thru my work for my Z.

I think the recaro swap would be cool but to much time and figuring out the rails and stuff.
