This. For some reason I never liked it before and now I can't stop looking at it and trying to figure out how to explain another purchase to my wife and where I can find one. I don't want to pay 3k for it though.

I remember seeing a couple carbon hatches with GT wings on them a couple years ago but can't remember for the life of me who it was running them.

You should look into mounting the Wing via custom aluminum bracing possibly placed in either side of the License plate and it have it go direct to the chassis vs the hatch. Like the FRS

If I remember correctly there were braces added inside the hatch that when the hatch closed rested on top to provide support. Lemme see if I can track it down.

edit: I've looked and cannot find it but basically there was what looked like a shelf built inside the hatch and then pads on the underside of the hatch so that when closed the pads would rest on the shelf and transmit the downforce through the hatch area to the chassis. This seems like a terrible explanation for what I see in my head.

That's what I was thinking and would love to see done. There was a member who did it here but never really posted any pictures. I think it was Muzzy.

So i cancelled the Bulletproof/Weber order.
I got a sick price on the Garage Mak GT2 wing ( 1790mm) with the larger stands.. and the carbon fiber duck tail wing as well.
Couldnt pass it up guys.. plus this car will look better aired up w slight fender gap when using a buig wing vs a duck tail.. and wuill look retarded when aired out flat on the ground too.

Thanks goes to Rajit at Mastermind/ Liberty Walk USA.

Muzzy did one.. Larry Kenney did one.. my friend who works on my car did one.. too many ppl on that band wagon fellas.. ad the FRS one bolts to the trunk.. im sure you meant GTR lol.. ( strange car to confuse w a scion lol)

The garage Mak all by itself is straight outta Compton/Japan as it stands imo.. custom mounts are for guys who want to jsut run an APR.. dunno..
I want JDM SBC OG status.

Ill most likely try to extende the life of my hatch by using some long stay rods like the Rocklet Bunny GTR uses.. i think it looks sick as hell tbh.

I really like the supports. It achieves a similar aesthetic effect without the same look at me shouting.

Love the book. I was born the year of the **** so I can relate

Glad you went with G Mak, made the right decision

I also agree that rear support rods would look great.

anyone have any ideas on thicker ( no driving gloves) suede steering wheels for this build?

Any rare unicorn JDM stuff?

I cant do Keys racing becuase of the blue back shadow stitching.. its just a contrast.

Thought maybe a Grinta.. or a Nardi Deep Corn 350mm...

any other brands out there i may not have hear of?

I really want black suede tho.

I love my suede grinta but I wish it were thick all the way around. I've been thinking about selling it for something else for that exact reason.

I want something like a momo prototipo in suede.
