well it begins... no pictures for you yet, but the trunk has been gutted for the most part, all the panels are off, and the harness bar is out now too... this leaves me one seat and the full interior forward of them, but that's it.
I need to map out where the metal gets cut..
I have a ton to do before that occurs, but I might as well take all the stuff out for now.
We are hopefully knocking out all the under car stuff in the next two weeks.. but we will see if my tech comes thru for me or not.
I bought Savanna Little's Quaife 2 way diff, so we will install that as well as the urethane subframe and upper arm/shock bushings.. leaving the spl solid diff bushing in place.
I have a Z1 finned hi capacity diff cover waiting here as well.
Voodoo rear toe, camber( lower link) and trailing arms...
Billet CNC front LCAs w poly, Voodoo13 billet upper arms..
Hotchkiss sway bars and SPL endlinks..
a new steering rack and tie rod links.. poly bushings and sleeves.. poly comp arm bush vs my oem revised one that's currently in the car.
Rear brake caliper/ hub spacer adapter, CTSV 4 pot rear.
New rear rotor
Tim is still working on redoing the 3d printer file for the Workshop 12 brainiac one off ( touch dash) that he's helping me build.. since it no longer is the "production ready" model, there's no buttons.. so he's deleting them off the file so it will be smooth under the screen.
Once we get that file, it gets sent to the plastic printer to make the parts to house the flat screen..
He's also looking for a spare of the proper screen and cable for me... hopefully that works out, as sourcing a single screen from China has been fkn hell so far..
as for the rest of the plan, im leaving the status seats out for a bit... until I get enough time after SEMA to start the cutting and weld drilling to remove all the sheet metal post-seats back to the STB as previously planned.
Agency power wants their can on my car, so im selling the Tomei and picking up my AP single on Thursday.
This will work better in the long run as the tomei uses clips and springs to mount.. and I need something I can have flanges welded for so we can mount it sideways w a diffuser blown exhaust exit once the flat bottom gets built.
and about that.. lol.. I found my old ebay brand 12" slim fans.. they are vey light... so ill be able to mount them behind the large mesh cut out areas in the rear bumper so it will pull the hot air out from between the car and the flat bottom panels.. this is a huge issue apparently.. and I guess we shall see when we get there.
so yeah.. its almost go time on a ton of sh#t that I've been dreaming on for like half a year here again.. stay tuned f#ckers.

oh yeah, and the gauges are coming out, all of them.
For now, im having all the illum colors set back to factory needles ( red) and white led illumination..
The goal after sema is to get ahold of AEM infinity PnP stand alone.. as well as a Racepak or similar digital dash.
We can ditch 90% of the external gauges using that racepack.

its neat, and they are a local company from my town.., but for that kind of money (2400), id rather buy an AIM.
Racepak is perfectly fine for me, and I've made friends w them over time.. Ill be talking more w Anthony at SEMA in a few weeks.

I stripped out all aftermarket electrical items.. stereo, lighting, gauges etc.. I had to stop at the front fenders, as that entails ridding myself of the tucked engine harness, poor grounds, and elusive electrical problems.. but I will save that for another day..
all my rgb factory gauges going back to red needle and white dial lighting..
after market gauges will be going back to match now as well.
Will be short lived.. as I'm looking at an AIM or Racepak digital dash soon to replace them all.
stripped the rear out .. no more airbag system... no more subwoofer boxes etc.
will be recovering the back half inc the stb w alcantara and black floor carpet., but removing the entire cubby trunk speaker bar sheet metal first.
test fit of the amp and air cup system.. the tank is featherweight, and the amp will be quick fastener , mounted to the quick release flat subwoofer box.. and it can all come out in less than a minute for a track day.

Found this guy on facebook today... Seems legit

Actually his final results make me wanna keep my sheet metal as is... It looks kinda silly without a roll bar IMO

so, finally back to a normal standard keyed ignition.. the rfid thing was terrible.. although the **** art of it was pretty cool..
After awhile, we will just do some bypass work and add the **** back, but without the RFID system in place. For now during the rebuild.. I want zero peripheral issues to cause problems.. so a normal key it is.
In other news.. the car is stupid fast with most of the interior out and the air and audio now gone.
its smellier and louder since I have a direct line from my ears and nose to the cabin vents on each side of the trunk now lol.. but that's not for long.
I did re route the breather from my catch set up BACK to the air intake, and this cured not only the smell issue but the tendency for the rpms to drop very low when I clutch in preparing to stop.
Not much else to update for now.

turns out I couldn't see anything because my trs bulbs just weren't seated right.. but now I rewired the OEM ballasts and yanked a another mile of needless harnesses and wire out of the front of the car, back to simple and clean.
installed the newest top of the line oem style bulb available, the OSRAM CBH 6000k.
