Anyone replace the Top Parking lights on a 06 Headlight?

I have replaced mine but you have to open up the whole headlight and build a piece to mount the led's to (see pic below) If you go this route I would suggest you use only the highest quality led's as i did not and now have to rip my headlight apart and do it all over again. Got 2 years of good use and now half of them are dead!

I know you can get the direct replacement ones. I just wanted to know if anyone just soldered new ones in. Just wanted to see how they did it.
Thanks for the link for the direct replacement! those are cheaper than the ones I saw. they were like $45 But ill order from there if things don't go how I would like it to go.
my headlights are currently opened already Im just waiting on the LEDs to come in.
The ones im going to replace it with will be 5mm white leds

I made a new board made of abs plastic the same size as the existing board and mounted 4 flush mount led's in to the new abs piece! It worked really good but my led's are cheap and started to die one by one after about a year I will replace them with good quality led's next time i open up the headlights!
