Default How to install mesh on Nismo v2 Bumper?

I've got a nismo v2 style bumper from Shine Auto. I bought a mesh but I'm having trouble figuring out how to mount it? I've heard some people use epoxy and that I can use self tapping screws but I don't really understand where I'd be putting the self tapping screws. I'm sure plenty of people have done it, so I'd appreciate the input.

I would glue some tabs of metal around the inside(unseen part) of the "mouth" of the grill and bend those around the mesh to hold it in place. that would be if you wanted it at the back of the opening. Hard to describe but my INGS front has those tabs but I took the mesh off since it looked odd imo.

There's always zip ties and duct tape too!

Good luck!

Ahhh I see what you're saying. Alright thanks, for some reason I just couldn't visualize what everyone was talking about but that makes sense.

I believe the info given on the tabs is the way to go.I had a situation with a rear diffuser from Shine. The diffuser itself(CF)was excellent. However, the mesh was pretty
cheap compared to the unit.I called Shine about the quality of the mesh.I was told
that thats what they had available. They gave me some info on a company that provided a higer grade mesh.Since the mesh area was rather small,I ordered a heavier, higher
quality mesh from this company.Glad I did.
IMO,mesh in a front bumper looks bad unless its recessed and painted black.

I'm surprised Shine did not install metal clips to install the mesh. The piece
I got from Shine has bendable tabs. They are actually the same things used
to hold pieces of paper together inserted through the holes in a ring binder.
They have been laminated into the fiberglass backing.I'd use fiberglass cloth&
resin to "glue" your clips.

I'm suprised I've seen a lot of people suggest not to use a mesh saying it looks better without it. Personally mine looks better with a mesh. IDK if it's just my car, but without the mesh you can see inside and the bottom of the bumper looks just bad.

Honestly though I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the CA front plate laws. The only reason I'm getting the mesh is so that I have something to attach the license plate to.

It really came without the tabs?

+1 for epoxy plus making your own tabs

Use something as simple as paper clips. Epoxy them around the lip and then just bend them to hold the mesh. It doesn't take very much to hold it in place
