Default Killer deal? Seibon ts carbon fiber hood

So yesterday i drove down to another city nearby to purchase a SEIBON TS CARBON FIBER HOOD, i thought it was a decent deal considering the fact that they sell for over $800 brand new. i ended up paying $250 for the hood in near perfect condition an easy 9.8/10. it also came complete with original box and wrap. I love it. So what do you guys think? i haven't seen any used ones for sale so i was also wondering what they usually go for? its going on my Nismo Z, any Pics you guys might have ?

Unless you need a vented hood I really don't see a point , even at that price. Now you still need to spend another $300+ to get it painted

The better question is what you think of the deal? The price sounds fine, but since the OEM hood is aluminum, there's not really any weight savings/performance advantage. As Terrasmak points out, unless you need a vented hood and are willing to pay to have it painted, there's not much reason to buy it.

Personally, OEM parts work extremely well unless you're modifying them for a particular reason.

Bragging?
Assuming OP is talking about the hood on eBay for $731 (shipped), take $150-$200 from that for shipping costs and divide the remainder in half for "used" depreciation...you got a fair deal.

If you did your homework, not over-paying, and fitment is good (which most aren't), there's your sign. I like the OEM HR hood personally. Like to see pics and fotment.

I would be a little skeptical since the pictures are not with the hood closed but you will find out soon enough.
