i understand that the HID headlights come standard onthe touring model
i busted my headlight but the bulbs seem to be intact
i found someone selling a headlight (without any bulbs) off a base model
are there any differences between the headlights with respect to composition?
can i simply swap my existing bulbs to the non HID headlight?

from past experience on headlight houseing of HID VS NON-HID(H7 bulbs, my audi A4) I would have to say no it will not fit correctly without modification. The Z with HID would be useing a D2R or D2S HID buld i presume, while those will fit in a houseing designed to hold H7 bulb, it will not seat correctly. I havent taken a look at the houseing on my Z(non-hid) yet but if its anything like it is on my A4 the metal clips would have to be bent outward just a bit to go over the HID bulbs. I installed OEM D2S/D2R HID kit on my A4 which had H7 houseing and thats what i had to do to make it fit.
