Default Wrap help, please

I've gone with the vinyl wrap method for the interior scratches and need some help. The passenger side went just fine. On the driver's side, in order to make it look uniform, I cut a piece and went straight across the top. Then after wrapping the edges got to the part of the handle. Using a hair dryer, I worked the vinyl down but it didn't quite make the edges and as expected it peeled up within a day. No problem, I bought a huge roll. So the next time i left more so I'd be sure to get it all the way down and wrap it. The problem is, as you're stretching the material down the most stress is on the inside of the handle (that material has to stretch the most to reach the edges). This time, right as i made it all the way down and about to wrap everything over, a little "v" split in each corner. I was able to get the sides around, and the flat inside surface down, but the corners (where you're pointer and pinky would be putting your hand in there) split right to the edge. This lasted longer, about a week, and now it's peeling up in those corners. Any advice to get this to work permanently? I'd like it to be one piece, and I'd like the CF pattern to be uniform across the top.

There is an adhesion promoter pen from 3m you can buy. also try using higher amounts of heat, in my experience a hair dryer sometimes wont cut it.

There is a 3M tip video on YouTube about wrapping mirrors or something

they talk about Pre-stretching then using heat to return wrap to original shape as a way of distributing stress that causes liftup like you are describing.

heat losens the material and makes it stretch back to its original shape.. you MUST use primer 94 from either the pen or in a pint w a brush on all edges of dinoc.. its not very sticky on its own, far FAR less than wrap film for car exteriors etc.

If you dont use it religiously, the edges will lift on everything you do as soon as it sits in the sun for a day.

I like the texture of the vinyl, but that hydrodip looks good. Did you have to take off the whole door panel to get to those air-vent/door handle pieces?

And thanks for the advice everyone. It's not DiNoc, it's the 1080wrap, but i will try the pre-stretch and hotter gun. Will post pics when done!

the whole door panel has to be removed to get to the door handle finishers. It's not hard to do though.

Correct, i had it all removed anyway for checking/cleaning window motors and do the reset procedure.

With the hydrodip, as long as you follow the instructions and work very clean you can't go wrong.
