Default Hood emblem stolen

Hey guys, some a-hole decided to steal my front/hood emblem, now I'm looking for a replacement, anyone know where I can buy a used one or new one for cheap? Had to pay $700 for repairs last week and now this happens.

Thanks for your help.

Also, any ideas on how to prevent them from getting stolen? would bolting them down help?

You have an emblem on your hood? Do you have a photo of that? I'm not aware of a hood emblem on the Z... or the G for that matter. Do you mean the emblem on the front bumper cover?

Sorry, you're right it's in the front bumper cover like you said.

Today's been a bad they overall, my great grandmother dying, some idiot rubbed off my front bumper with his green car while I was parked and the emblem got stolen. I wonder what I did to **** off the heavens.

I was browsing and this looks neat, what are your thoughts on this one instead of the OEM one?

I bought a pair, and installed one on the front. I like it, but can't commit to putting one on the rear too. The letter Z is in so many places on and in the car already... It's on the vent in the jamb for Christ's sake... That being said, I will probably get around to putting the other one on the rear sooner or later...

I have the Z emblem front and rear. I like the looks much better than the OEM badges.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent misfortunes.

Here is a link to a new OEM badge http://www.courtesyparts.com/62310-e...8-p-19119.html

I'm proud of my Nissan emblem, wouldn't change it to a "Z", as stated earlier it's already everywhere.

Thank you gentlemen. I went ahead with a "Z" emblem and I'll leave the Nissan one on the back, this time I'll have the emblems drilled and secured, this is common practice here to prevent emblems getting stolen, so guess I learned my lesson.

All that drilling the emblem to the bumper will accomplish is that either the emblem or your bumper will get destroyed when the next guy tries prying it off.

Believe it or not it's common practice here in El Salvador, you'll see high-end cars like Porsche and Maserati with the same done to the emblems, once they're like that it's very rare they'll try stealing it as they cannot sell them like that anymore because people won't buy pre-drilled emblems, all my others are like that and only the one that wasn't secured got stolen so that says a lot.
