Gonna wrap it gloss black
I've got a rear emblem for it.....matches the front. I think I'm gonna roll with this bare-a$$ look for a while, though. Going in for tint next week.
Indeed.....painting that beat up body right would be no small (or cheap) task.

I still think you would have been happier with a lighter color, black is just so hard to make look good unless it's perfect. Imperfections and flaws just get magnified with it, not to mention orange peel is almost a guarantee. As long as you like it is all that really matter though, now enjoy it.
....don't I wish. I'm able to get the body fairly straight, and the dents mostly smooth, but I don't have the skills needed to do the bodywork needed before a full high quality paint job. That 2k might get the paint sprayed, but it's the extensive prep that would easily double that.
Around here, without a connection, 2k will get you the better Maaco job, which will be hit or miss on longevity, if not very iffy prep.
A few years down the road will see me able to ground this car, tear it apart, remove windows, etc. to have it flat-bedded away for the full job. Until then, I've got my pseudo-magnetic black.....which falls short of the real deal, but beats the calico silver-gray-black I had.
