Default BigBlue's MCR Hood experience

I know that I'll take some heat on this hehe, but the first attempt to order this awesome hood didn't work out; some delays and I ended up pulling the plug on the order. Hats off to Adam however for returning my $! I am not going to blame anyone, just bummed that I wasted so much time on this.

Today I ordered the MCR aero bonnet from BulletProof Automotive (in Cali.); they are one of MCR's main clients in USA. Anyway, these take a while; special order then ship by sea and may even need to be "made to order" by MCR possibly. BulletProof has their own warehouse in Japan and cargo container that ships from Yokohama every month no matter how many packages are in it.

Here is a pic from their site of 2 Z's with this hood:

Good one Pyshin! You just wait to see that sucka' on my car hehe. I really believe that many who see it will wish that they had it. No, I appreciate the "razzing" and was counting on it. I had been watching that one vendor's site on this one for 7 yrs.; remember all of the Q+A and interaction with this site for several yrs., so I assumed that things were ok until later on. Can't wait to see the hood for myself, will be bad *** and great for a desert rat like me!

I remember agreeing wholeheartedly to your choice, I'm glad that you pulled the trigger; it definitely is one of most beautiful hoods available for the Z33..

MCR, Amuse, and even Shine.. Really stepping up your aero game Blue

Thanks! Yeah, I was hoping to have it on by now, but still getting the Shine stuff customized and worked over (saw it today) so a little break is fine with me. I got my car today, but they still are getting the diffuser/bumper cover fitted.

They said that 6 weeks is "fast" for via sea cargo shipping (due to size of hood), so I'm hoping for 1 1/2 months! They also told me that MCR "may" have to make the piece, but they are pretty fast nowadays, then ship to BulletProof's warehouse (Japan); shipped from Yokohama to Cali, then freight to my house. Hopefully MCR has some in stock which would speed it up some. I guess that's the price for JDM items, but worth it when it's on your car. Check out BulletProof's site, as they specialize in JDM products and a ton of choices.

I know, they or any other American MCR dealer could stock up on them, plus for other car makes. I doubt that anybody would have a problem selling them; probably be constantly needing to restock; just ship here in the states. But that makes too much sense!

Thanks! I spent a lot of time looking at a big variety of brands, styles. This particular hood just really stood out to me; I like how it keeps the HR "hump", but with very agressive ventilation.
