Ok my side view mirror bases are a tad bit on the ashy side. I am trying to either replace them or wrap them in carbon fiber. The plastic on the top is somewhat coming off. Has anyone restored the side view mirrors. I don't mind buying the whole assembly and unscrewing the mirror that comes with it and trowing my new soon to be freshly painted mirrors on top. Any ideas?? Car is getting painted over very soon and I am also trying to replace all exterior plastic and trim piecies. The Z was sitting in the sun a lot with the first owner. Im the second owner.

 

The mirror bases are flat black whether or not they've been left out or been garaged. Most of us don't mind them being that color, but getting new ones won't make much of a difference.
