Default Mystery screw?

Hi All. So my coin tray wont stay seated when I open it. The whole thing kind of pops out of place. I assume I'm missing a screw or something that goes into the pictured hole. I've looked at the part diagrams and cant find what it's suppose to be. I assume it was lost when I had an audio guy putting in an amp/sub in the back. (05 Touring Manual Z)

Does anybody know the part number???

Don't judge me for the dirt, I'm replacing all sorts of scratched and scrapped interior parts at the moment.

I think it should go right in as long as you install it with the lid open then close once it seats

I don't have the coin tray but it should just pop in and pop out like an ash tray, I mean everything else on the interior just pops in and out for the most part so is probably the same thing

Yeah, I've done that and it sits flush and normal. The whole thing will jiggle around with a just a tiny bit of force though. And by jiggle I mean it goes completely diagonal within the center console making it unopenable. So whatever goes in that hole must help brace the tray and keep it from becoming askew. The only other explanation is something snapped off or broke in the center console but I can find no evidence of that.

My coin tray has done the same thing since i bought my car. I can not recall if I have a screw in that hole or not. But I did look closely at everything and part of plastic that the tray slides into is broken. Like there are two plastic slots that the tray slides down into that compartment, one of mine is broken and I believe that is what causes mine.

A screw does go there but that's a console mount screw. The coin holder/ash tray just slides in and mine holds firm with no jiggle.

On the left side of the coin holder/ash tray is a little metal piece that is kinda curved, and held on by a screw you may need to bend it out a little more so it holds it in from popping out. I had to bend mine out a little when I got the car, no problems since.

Ah, well ok then. It sounds like I may need to add a coin tray to my list of purchases, since the console or the tray is broken. I don't see myself replacing the entire center console if that's the case, so I may just have to use super glue, which feels incredibly wrong.

Thanks for all the help gentlemen.

I would use a little bit of silicone before using super glue. At least with silicone it will be easier to remove (even though it still wont be easy.)
