Had my '04 for a about 2 years now, and recently did an interior LED upgrade (dome lights). Ever since I had the car... the shifter lights (P,R,D etc) don't light up...was wondering if it ever has? checked the owners manual...and there's no info...not an issue...but sometimes when it gets very dark it would def be nice to see them light up. Can anyone let me know if your car has those lights or not? thanks!

 

Yeah, I had an automatic and can confirm for you that they are supposed to light up. The connector might be unplugged. I would pull the shifter trim piece off and check to make sure.

not sure about 2004s, but my 2006 has these lights that indicate AT shifter positions
BTW I've noticed that sometimes these lights turns off but then turns on somehow... so, check the connector!

 

remove the center console and replace the bulb ,,,

Mine was out too. I tried to replace it with one from Autozone but it was slightly too big. Ended up getting it from the stealership...$9...
