Default nismo v3 kit / black out or not ?

I saw a nismo for sale where someone painted the lip portions magnetic black to match the car ( I cant find the link right now). It looked pretty clean and I like clean.
the grey color being so bright on a black car almost looks out of place. i love the look on all the other color nismo as it seems darker. I aslo think the if painted black the front end would get lost with all the black and lose some character .

So with that said I am pretty stuck on painting the nismo v3 kit with the gtr grey paint code for the lower lips and sides. I am going to use v1 rear until I can go with the first molding rear diffuser.

what do you think keep the nismo paint them or black it out ?

Personally, I like the offset gray color on mine because it IS a "character line". The front-middle "indentation" is what I love about the V3 front end and the gray color just sets it a little bit apart from the rest of the bumper cap/car.

Don't see how you think it's "bright" but maybe I'm just not into the details....

On nismo, i'd keep it the same. If it was an aftermarket lip kit or something in those lines, I would match it to the oem color. Just my opinion

Black would be easier to touch up when stone chips and other road damage crop up.

Mic nice ride, def does not look bright haha. I haven't seen a black nismo in person so it probably was the lighting or pictures where taken in the sun that caused the dramatic contrast. Otherwise the factory theme is pretty sweat.

Thanks for the suggestions all, I think I am still going to stay with the gray theme!

it almost seems wrong to change the gray theme on the v3 kit, but paint matched on the v2 and 370's looks great. Seems like general consensus opt for the gray.

cool build on that roadster and very expensive to do! As I thought the front end would get lost with all the black, would love to see it in person and have a better look.

Default My nismo

Got my real nismo v3 from a wrecked one. Filled in front emblem and painted it all magnetic black. Goes on this weekend and I think it looks awesome.

nice! I had them shave the reflectors on mine, post up the finished product!! my rear is supposed to be in today, but they are doing fire hydrant work on my st , so most likely will be delayed. im about 2 weeks out before paint and installation.

did you also do the v3 sides?

No I just have the front bumper. Stock sides for now with the oem splash guards. I have the single exit agency power exhaust so I did the rear bumper tuck. I'm just hoping the v3 doesn't end up looking too aggressive without the rest. I'll know in 2 days

i think the Nismo sides would really compliment it

it does look like it needs it there

and when you get the rear bumper on , I feel you will also need the wing

great start congrats

Looks killer. The blacked out look pulls it off.

I may be biased since I have an 05 with just the V3 front......
