Official vinyl wrapping thread.

Here is the progress of my first attempt at wrapping my car... Using Hexis Glacier White 2000 series. Still waiting on my amuse style front bumper (VIS).
I'm redoing the two front fenders... My tires slightly rub up front and ripped the inside vinyl... it's starting to peel out and won't be long until I can see it from the outside. I plan to lower a tad more so I'm on the market for upper control arms to adjust the camber. Hopefully that should fix the problem... But does anyone have any solutions to prevent further ripping? I might be able to save one side if I find something to coat over it... I have 3m edge seal on the way. Will that help?

Its the edge of the door catching the sunlight. Its satin grey chrome, highly reflective in person.
I've been wrapping since early 2012, I can wrap anything fairly easily now. The question I ask myself is, can it be done without any seams. I prefer none.

Just read thru the last 10 pages as I'm looking to start my first, yet small, wrap job. I was recently gifted for my birthday a urethane replica NISMO lip (yes the one everyone has) it came in the black plastic, and was going to wrap it in CF wrap just to see how I like the look against my silver car.
The struggle I'm having is I don't know how much material I will need, I'd rather not by more than I have to, and like Mr Sparco says, no seams... What do you guys suggest? the common sizes I'm seeing are like 60'' x 12'' or 60'' x 24'' - not sure if either of these sizes will cover it seamlessly, but don't wanna take the big jump in price of rolls if I don't have to. After reading this thread in it's entirely I will be going with the 3M stuff as it is the "Volk" of wraps, and seems a good product for beginners.
Thanks for your help !

Been meaning to comment here about Mistuh Sparco and all you other wrappers.
I am in awe at the talent and patience that produce such great looking cars. (Sparco's Z is still one of my favs on here.... how come we never see it, sir?)
Me, OTOH, can't even put a clear plastic screen protector on my iPhone without bubbles.... sigh.....

I actually just did and it measures about 7' long and about 8" of depth, so I could cut the 5' x 2' roll in half and it would be long enough but would have to have a seam somewhere high I was trying to avoid...
What do u guys suggest?

I wouldn't do a seam, they look terrible. You might just have to pay up for an 8×5 roll unless you can find someone selling extra. I did my car in Avery and it was easy to work with. Seems durable so far and it's a little cheaper than 3m
