Ordered my vinyl today. Question regarding the hard black door/window trim. Do most remove this or is this a piece that the vinyl can be worked under? Or is it similar to the rear glass where it is a trim-to-fit... I was looking over the car yesterday and that seems to be my only question as of now.

The B pillar is usually left black. It's easy to remove though, iirc it just pops off.
If you mean the A pillar, it's a little trickier to get off (make sure you remove all the screws first), some people leave it on and just tuck under, but it's not too hard to remove, so I popped it off. It is fragile though, so be careful.

My bad, yea I removed it. There's 1 screw and then it should slide off. You may need to lift up on the little tab the screw goes through when you first start sliding it off. It does take a little bit of force to slide off too.

It's a directional film (3M) and reflects light differently if you don't install every panel in the same direction. It's subtle but noticeable if you're ****. You can tell the bumper doesn't match on this a4.
I had to buy more than needed to maintain the directional install on my Evo.

My wrapping venture starts this weekend. I figure I will start with the hood. I have a feeling this will be a learning experience. Not to concerned if it's perfect or not, just want my car to be one color

peel back a few inches of backing and smooth it to the cowl section of the hood.. that becomes your helper hands.... then have a friend help you peel the rest of the backing off and stretch it like a super tight bed sheet from each headlight/corner across the hood..pull hard on it so it lays down w no wrinkles.. thats the easiest way to get it mostly stretched and laid out w the least amount of drama.
