Do any of you use a protective film on your headlights? If so, where did you get it, how thick, install yourself - is it worth it?

My lens are being replaced so this time around I'm considering trying to protect them - thanks for your thoughts.

I had the X-Pel 3M full kit professionally installed over a year ago, which included the thick 3M film on the headlights. Still very happy with them. A few tiny chips, which means that they are doing their job. Go for it.

Yesssssssssssssssssss. they are worth the 15 bucks each one
cost.

I'd have a pro install it. I had my 3M installed with the 3M clearbra bumper kit. Which by the way you should also get. Unless you want paint chips all over your bumper.

Very good investment. I installed them myself, Very Simple. Just do it in warm weather or someplace warm so the 3M material can flex and bend. worth every penny here is a link:

I've been wanting to install the headlight
protectors as well. I noticed the ones offered at the above link are advertised as 3mils thick. I thought for headlights the film was 40mils? Different brand?

I have the 3m clear bra kit and it was worth every penny, can't even tell it's on the headlights. Got mine at ultimate autocare in CA. Sean's website is www.ultimateautocare.com

Talking Headlight Film

I had my headlight film installed by Clear Armor. It is made by 3M and it is 40 mil. thick.

Don't let anyone install an inferior product on your headlights...

Just my 2 cents
