Default nooby question about custom front bumper

I want to get this sweet bumper for my 08 z http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-08-Fits-N...-/191478694648

Question is: Do I need the side and back kits too or will it look good without the other pieces?

I don't want to make my car look all customized and different I want to keep it looking stock. But I really like how that bumper looks to replace my stock bumper which is cracked.

Its shown in the picture on a car with stock sides

The better question is do you think its going to fit at all aftermarket parts tend to fit like aftermarket parts... The cheaper they are the more off they usually are... You could get lucky though.

If it for like the picture that would be lovely.

"Fits" is a term I would use lightly. These cheaper kits tend to have gaps, not fit correctly, and need to be altered by a body shop to fit correctly.

Yeah, I plan to take it to a body shop. I need to get the roof painted as well the clear coat is peeling. How often should I wax the car to prevent this from happening again?

Where are you in FL? I've got a Nismo V2 which is a perfect fit, but I can't use it because it scrapes the ramp in my work parking garage. Shoot me a PM if you're close to Tampa and I'll show you some pics.

Two comments: this aftermarket bumper will not be as durable as the OEM one. It's made from duraflex and will crack the first time you hit a speed bump or pothole in the road. Second: do some research on modern sealants (rather than waxes) to protect your Z's finish.

What about the bumper on this car in the video? Do you know the name of it? I like how it looks.

I narrowed down my choices to two. Veilside v3 front bumper replica and Vision BC2 Front Bumper. This will probably be my last question.

Which one of these two sits the lowest to the ground and which one is a better quality like it wont crack easy if I hit a parking bumper?

I don't want it to low to the ground I would like it to be the same as the stock bumper.

Anyone who wants to drive to Tampa. I've just been too lazy to make a post in the classifieds, and I'd like to avoid all the idiots on Craigslist.

As they said be careful with Duraflex.... It's not at all what they talk it up to be!
I speak from experience I've had a few and they are crap. I wont ever buy the stuff again. GL finding quality.... If you want your car to look like cars in the pictures or like mine is now plan on that $250 bumper having 750$ worth of body shop work done to it to make it right! Again I speak from experience! The 350z body kit world is a crock of **** ! Unless you pay over $1000 for each piece your screwed from the start.

If you want a good fit, look at the parts from Shine Auto and VIS. I've had parts from both and they've got a good reputation here, too.

My VIS rear bumper still required a good $400-500 worth of fabrication to get it be essentially perfect. The Duraflex took about $700 lol
I wax my car once every other month and I barely drive it so for a daily I would clay bar and wax every month if you care about your paint. I did just get a full paint job as well so maybe I'm being a bit more **** than most at this point in the game.

Good to let people know what they are getting themselves into when they get anything aftermarket. If your not a fan of doing bodywork your probably not going to come out with a good taste in your mouth if you think its going to come in the mail and just fit like a dream.
