I'm 57, and I never did. As a kid I was always into the Euro stuff and started saving for a Jaguar when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. Finally got a '69 XK-E roadster for $2500 when I was 17, and that was the first car I owned. The next year I added a '67 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA. Since then, lots of Alfa's and BMW's, and the Z is the first non-Euro car I've ever owned.

I've wanted a 6-series BMW for maybe 20 years, and finally found one nice enough to buy a little over a year ago. It's an '85 gray-market car, and in mint condition:

I get that we each want to be unique and peronalize our cars- but thinking ahead ten to fifteen years I think we'll really appreciate the stock form of these cars (or understated, subtle, tasteful mods)

This is why I don't do mods on my Z. I do want another Z to mod the hell out of.

Is that a TL Type-S I see hidden away? I drove one the dealership lent my friend a few years ago. It had Tein suspension w/electronic dampening control and a few other goodies; great car.

Yeah, the TL-S is my wife's car - good eye. It's been nice and reliable, but I'm just not into front-wheel drive cars.

In all seriousness and honesty, the OP did ask.. " What do you think ? "

So, I think you need to remove the Plasti-Dip and get some stock wheels on it.

You have an awesome car, especially awesome in the world of 18 year olds.

Don't jack it up with cheap stuff, you stated you like a stock look, your goal then should be to make it look that way.

Hope this thread thickens your skin, opens your eyes, and teaches the ever important concept of... " Sometimes, Less is More... "

and BTW, Welcome Dude !

I'm usually on the "It's your car. Mod it how you want..." bandwagon, but the justifications for glorified spray paint drive me crazy.

Oh, and in for pictures of BBS wheels.
