+1 I couldn't keep up and didn't post much in the beginning. Seemed like everyday members were dropping 20-30k in parts, everyone was in an arms race with mods.

About the tint.

Coming from a Roadster, I have quite a few blind spots with the top up. I've never been a fan of tint as it affects my view at night, I'd rather have the clear view.

Plus, the blacked out cars with blacked out tail lights, stop. Please stop. Those light are there to let ME know when you're braking, that thick black tint during the day (and sometimes nights) makes your lights near invisible.

Just my preference.

PS: I don't care what people say, I loved the axis shines, wish i bought a set before they discontinued, the 19"s not 20"s.

i love tint, both of my daily drivers are tinted with 15% all around. When it's a 115 degree day, sun is blazing, it's needed.

My Z on the other hand , all stripped except for 15% on the front windows. Odd, but works for me

turbo, if you rarely use your brakes then I don't want to be anywhere near you. Stop signs and red lights and yielding are imaginary things in your universe?

I agred on tinting tails. I'm in a small black car and don't need some dude texting in a Denali to be my latest bumper sticker. Same reason I did DRLs.
I'm in healthcare and have to treat the roadkill the EMTs bring in. Broken pelvis and femurs last forever.

Brakes are cheaper than transmissions.
I'd rather put more wear on my brakes vs my transmission.

Brakes are for stopping, transmission is for shifting.

Brake pads are much easier to replace than a clutch

Im confuse as to the difference between rev matching while down shifting to engine brake, than to just rev it to 5k while your accelerating....

I look up to alot of you older members as guides and to take advuce from, but in this, i have to disagree and if someone could explain in further detail as tonhow exactly engine braking is bad, id appreciate it.

I dont see the difference between coasting at 80mph in 6th gear at 3k rpm, than to drip from 4th gear to 3rd and have my rpm at 3k slowly dropping. Some will say that it causes wear on the tranny. How so? If im double clutching and rev matching, the engine and tranny cant tell if im going from 5th to 6th and dropping the rpm from 4k to 3k vs going from 4th to 3rd and jumping the rpm from 2k to 3k.

Example: im cruising along at 50mph in 5th at 2k rpm, stop is coming, i clutch, rev to 3k, change gear to 4th, clutch and its now still at 50mph, rpm at 3k and the car is slowing as the rpm drops. Repeat until im around 10mph and brake. How is that any worse than cruising at 50moh un 4th gear at 3k rpm and simply getting off the clutch and on the brakes?

The car isnt bogging, the shifts arent forced, the slowing down is a smooth deceleration. How could this be bad for the tranny?

If you are rev matching/heel-toe shifting as smoothly as you say then wear won't be a problem IMO.

Yea im not banging gears, forcing it in, haveing the car jump 5 ft when im shifting.

Im not the typical kid that barely knows how to drive and act like he's a pro. Im just trying to see how its bad if my shifts are clean and smooth. If the engine and exhaust didnt roar on downshifts, most probably wouldnt be able to tell that i downshifted.

Default New look for the z.

Got wheel spacers put on the other day. Got a good gap, going for coils in a month or two and going to buy mich supers ports. Then it should sit decently well.

I would put the plasti diped ones back on. Those wheels really don't work no matter how much spacer you run. Did you install longer studs to account for the spacer?
