Default Easy fix for hazy or cloudy instrument gauge cluster

So I had to share this info as it worked amazing and I figured I'm not the only one that is experiencing this.

My gauge cluster was cloudy and hazy where you see the mph, tire pressure etc. And I couldn't get it to clear up with any products.

I bought CRC 2-26 from home Depot for like $4 and sprayed it on a microfiber towel and wiped it on the lense, it cleared right up and looks like new!

You all should try it if you have any cloudy or hazy Gauge clusters!

I made an account because I just got a 350z recently. But I made this post because I haven't seen anyone address a solution for this issue on here. I read it on maxima forums which was a hassle finding. Just trying to help.

No it doesn't, it even says on the cover that it's safe on plastic.

That's not a fix. . . you're filling in the scratches with oil and basically putting a temporary clear coat on the plastic. You could rub 10w30 on it and have the same effect.

That may be the case. I'm not sure of the science behind it but there was a fog to the lense that it got rid of. It does say this on the description which may also add more than straight up motor oil would do.

Cleans, lubricates, penetrates and loosens corrosion
Displaces moisture to prevent corrosion
Helps restore water-damaged electrical equipment
Restores resistance values and helps stop current leakage

Alright, well I'll do a follow up in a month or 2 to say how it's held up.
